In addition to our recreational performance teams and competitive company, AMDA also offers further choreographic & performance experience with our pre-professional company - Southern Artistry. Southern Artistry was created for our older, more experienced dancers, who are approaching graduation and are interested in establishing a pre-professional framework in the dance industry.

Southern Artistry dancers continue to train extensively in numerous technique classes, have the option to participate in regional dance workshops, conventions, & master classes. Additionally, they perform in 2-3 professional dance festivals in Texas, throughout the season.

Southern Artistry dancers also get the privilege to gain choreographic experience by choreographing some of their works in the company themselves.

Southern Artistry also helps our pre-professional dancers continue to build self-confidence, work ethic, initiative, and responsibility.

Many of our Southern Artistry dancers have gone on to study dance at the collegiate level, taking with them irreplaceable performance and dance-making experience from their time on Southern Artistry.

Auditions are not required for Southern Artistry, but dancers must be invited.
